"The Sunset Series started as three hand-carved block prints in my Maui studio. I wanted to capture those few quiet moments when the sun begins to disappear and, almost at the same time, the ocean seems to wake up.
Every piece is first carved by hand, then thoughtfully transformed into a digital artwork so I can preserve every carved line and share it with more homes everywhere."

Fun Fact: Unlike many of my earlier designs carved in rubber, the Sunset Series was hand-carved in traditional linoleum. Linoleum creates finer detail and a richer texture, but it's much harder to carve—making each line a little more intentional.

Molly Sanders, founder of Coca + B., has been hand-carving original block prints since 2016.
Inspired by the coastline of Maui, each design begins as a hand-carved linoleum block before being thoughtfully transformed into timeless artwork. Her goal is simple: to create meaningful pieces that bring warmth, calm, and a connection to the ocean into homes around the world.

While licensed artwork and stock illustrations have become increasingly common, every Coca + B. design begins the same way: as an original hand-carved block print, created in our Maui studio.
We never purchase artwork or license existing designs. Every carving is imagined, sketched, and carved in-house, preserving the character and craftsmanship behind each piece.
Our hope is not only to share this traditional art form with homes around the world, but also to pass the craft of block printing on to our own daughters—keeping the tradition alive for the next generation.
